Bio:

Rachel Gaivoto is a dedicated art teacher who also has a passion for the field of illustration. Born and raised in a small town in central Connecticut, she discovered her love for art at a young age. Her artistic journey commenced when she entered Hartford Art School, where she obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration in 2004.
Her undergraduate experience significantly shaped her artistic vision and broadened her technical skills. Under the guidance of experienced professors, she flourished as an artist, exploring various mediums and developing a distinctive style that combines traditional and digital techniques. During her studies, she received notoriety and awards including the Barbara Podrowsky Memorial Award for remarkable progress and achievement as a female artist.

Rachel has taught art at the high school level for over 15 years., and has brought her wealth of knowledge and ability into the classroom to inspire her students. She currently is working toward a Master’s degree in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
